Classroom and Laboratory Technology

The Next STEP supports a large number of students and faculty in collaborative research projects, bridge programs, and curriculum enrichment efforts. As a result of its programmatic initiatives, students plan and present more talks and  integrate research technologies into their presentations. Students involved in collaborative research projects give numerous presentations (to their team, to the summer research community, and to the University community), many of which are technology-enhanced. In addition, as the science, technology, mathematics, and computer science curricula become more enriched with research projects, investigative modules, interdisciplinary concepts, examples and techniques, and as new interdisciplinary courses are developed, faculty and students need appropriate multimedia presentation technologies in the classrooms and laboratories.

To accommodate this much broader range of media types than is currently available, The Next STEP is providing new multimedia systems to meet the increased demand for classroom and laboratory use.
